Labor Day

from Recollections by Strangers Now

/

lyrics

This was something new to me, something I've never felt before
The last time I saw you, you were only passing by
Stabbing deep into my hear, but not just mine. I am not alone and I keep telling myself this.
But, I was told you were caught saying "I fell like I could die any day"...well we never would have guessed...
Now I can only see you when the sun is shining or maybe when I close my eyes. You're surrounded by names and dates etched in stone...lives also lost
So to all of us: Some days just forgive the way I take this. It was something I never thought could happen.
And here's to you : We miss that smiling face.
We've accepted the fact, but we aren't letting go.
